It just sucks. I don't use social media, I usually just work and watch videos on youtube and isolate myself, but my dad is genuinely losing his mind and it sucks. It's been happening and I've been in denial but today was the first time I sat down with my mom and listened to my dad. He's genuinely sundowning.

I have my mom ho just dealt with this from her own mom. It's an ugly and terrible disease, but my dad has been so peaceful. You can almost talk to him like he's a kid. I love him to death, I never really learned anything from him and I've always been so resentful, but he's actualy genuinely gone. I don't know what im feeling right now. Love you guys.

My mom's had dementia for like 2 years from a brain tumor. The cannabis brings her back to at least recognizing who I am whereas before she would forget even that.

I think my mom has some weird highly functional dementia, and her abuse and neglect toward my dad is driving him to deteriorate too. Not sure how to force her to get help or motivate him to start exercising his brain.
