I guess we typically only see videos where something interesting happens. The thousands of normal traffic stops every day don't wind up on jewtube.
The thousands of uneventful shoplifting arrests or just casual interactions between normal people and cops, we don't see em.
That said, any power-tripping cop video should IMMEDIATELY be met with a response from his department, and either a commitment to fix his behavior or a dismissal, depending on the interaction.
It's the fact that there are hundreds and hundreds of power-tripping cop videos, and all but a tiny handful have been met with zero response by the police authorities.
And don't get me started on their wack-ass 'interrogation' techniques that aren't designed to get the truth, but instead designed to achieve a preconceived outcome.
I just avoid cops at all costs now. I won't even look their way.

If you are being asked to do a field-sobriety test, then it has already been determined that you are going to be arrested. You are better to not do them, the best-case scenario is you do it perfectly and it is not used against you during prosecution. Any little mistake you during this humiliation ritual will be exaggerated to "prove" you were intoxicated. If you do pass it, they will just say you are drugs, not alcohol. The only thing that actually matters is the blood test they give you, which must be taken within two hours of your arrest. Remember, the burden is for them to prove you are drunk, not for you to prove you are not.
All that said, the process it the punishment. Refusal to do tests will result in them arresting you. You might be later found not-guilty in court, but you will lose your license until then, be taken to jail for a night, have your car towed, etc, etc. The point is to punish the innocent who dare stand up for their own "rights" (rights aren't actually real).

not true. i was a passenger once while my buddy was driving. he got pulled over, did the test, then we drove home.
