Does anyone else feel sorry for Northern Italians? They are white nordic people like Swedes or Danes but they have to be associated with lazy Mediterraneans because of geography and name.

Today some of them have made it into the middle class, but they will never seen as an equal to an anglo saxon. I am from Tuscany, often called center north.

I've already shared my story here, but I will do it once more to make you understand my preference for Southern Italians.

Disclaimer: I don't hate any of the non leftist Italians, including the diaspora, I would die for them, I love my country and my people.

However the story goes like this:

My father used to be a very succesful entrepeneur, pure 80s cocaine driven capitalist.
He came from a small family, but my mom had 6 sisters in her mountain village in Tuscany.
She was one of the eldest, did a lot for her family, and so was my father that bought something like 4 lancia Y cars for various relatives

Eventually things started to go bad for my father, and we used to have less dinners with my relatives, aunts, cousins...whatever...i was busy living my life and didn't noticed.

One day my brother (a rather based individual with a deep hate for the south or any other ethnic group on earh and in space) got a seizure and almost died on the spot, brain cancer.

Being an Omega Chad he married his girlfriend (a blonde girl from Naples). He decided to live with her and her parents. I was kinda shocked, i missed him alot, and I didn't understand why a person with so much prejudice wanted to live in such a messy place.

I also saw him doing a serenata for his woman, something very southern, out of canon for a composed center north family.

Eventually he passed away, suddenly, the hearth gave up while he was sleeping next to her wife.

* side note: find me a post 1995 western girl that would keep a relationship with a sick man

I was in pieces, I arrived as soon as I could. One of the few things that made me feel a bit better was the scene I saw: the entire block was on the street paying a tribute to a guy they never met.

Even the trash collector stopped,to bring flowers.

And my relatives? in 2 years of agony not even an sms (beside 2 families out of 6).

I have no doubts about which culture i respect more.

Northern Italy is alright until you get south enough where they only speak Italian. All the refugees from Africa have started to get dropped off in the northern towns. What once was the home of the SS and Austrian sensibilities now has kebabs everywhere
