Just had a thought, Jesus allowed demons to be sent into pigs and said pigs drove themselves off a cliff, you know what else inhabits both men and pigs. T.solium aka the pork tapeworm, t solium causes seizure, alters your mind by traveling from the bloodstream to the brain creating cysts where they hatch. They are also numerous; "Legion" ? Could it be that demons are quite literally parasites? And Parasites demons. Now what is another common theme in the bible and in stopping parasites esp tapeworm? Fasting. Perhaps it isn't all parasites as the parasite pill seems to indicate as whip worms can be beneficial (see the hygiene hypothesis) but rather just tapeworms. Thoughts?

Tapeworms play a role in the ecosystem. They are not demons. They are - however - an offshoot of death. Death introduced new things into creation. Weeds, parasites, etc.

"Demons" are mental illness. Its especially evident in alcoholics, junkies and other addicts.

I created a weord sleep paralysis "demon" (not the typical malevolent force, but a very childishly mischievous shadow person) by megadosing on Lactobacillus rhamnosus, I think it was my microbiome registering itself getting "kocked out" and supplanted by th good bacteria

I suppose they can be a harbinger of death by choking out the plants around them, usually being fast growers and being able to seed themselves more successfully leading to a resource competition where they end up on top compared to the plants around them.
