>>508676349 (OP)Israel is an extremely good advertisement for the superiority of American technology and weapons, it's not a coincidence that Britain just ordered 12 F-35s, a mere week after Israel used the same F-35 jets to gain air superiority over Iran.
You can almost think of the military US aid to Israel as the advertisement budget for the American defence industry.
It's also not too expensive - US aid to Israel is around 3.8 billion $ annually, the US just spent 6.8 trillion $ in the fiscal year of 2024 alone, so the US aid to Israel only represents 1/2000 of the US annual expenditure, truly peanuts.
Israel's national budget is around 220 billion $ annually, US aid is 3.8 billion $ annually, so US aid represents less than 2% of Israel's annual budget.
Personally, I am against US aid to Israel, I think it makes us too dependent on the Americans - That being said, America is obviously getting something out of it, it's not purely >JEWISH lobbying that gets America to support Israel.
