No. They are useless. The gears break after some use and desu they aren't even waterproof or bright enough.

Crank lights are usually 10-50 lumens. My flashlights can give 50 hours on 30 lumens. I have a spare battery. I have a powerbank. All in all, once charged I have about 300 hours of backup. That is 50 days of runtime with 6 hours use each day.
With all my flashlights and batteries I have 1000 hours of continuous runtime.


Only thing that makes sense in survival kit is a carbide lamp. If emp happens and everything electronic dies then carbide lamps are great for lighting.

I like to sleep during the day if im buggin so i keep a eye black out cover, you aint gonna find me buried in the ground wrapped in a bivy.

Do you actually know how to use all of that? First aid supplies and training are honestly great and I wish more gun hobbyists would get some. A gun is great for SHTF, but not very useful on average in your day-to-day (unless you live in a shithole). First aid is much more likely to be useful, whether in a big crisis, a regional crisis like a flood, or random situations like someone around you or yourself getting injured. The world ending tomorrow is a lot less likely than getting into a car accident.

Get a second tourniquet. You don't need all those gloves. Ditch the clotting compound for combat gauze that has it built in. Ditch the cotton rolls for compressed gauze. Get a NPA and space blankie.
Look up "combat pill pack" and replicate it with over the counter stuff if your meds don't include stuff like that. The levels of infection have gone down since the military started using them.

Every Leatherman between 100-150$ will last you probably minimum 20-30 years. I would go more expensive if I can afford it. Multi-tools are very nice, but they are in different categories. You have ones for workers, like in construction or electicians, you have for military, you have combined, you have just civilian simple ones. It depends on your needs and enviroment. There is simply more steel around the hinge unlike the screw holding the blade of a leatherman (wave/charge). The saw is much longer and better.Vic 111 and 121 mm models are simply beasts and you can even take down a small tree with them. Just combine them with a knipex 150 mm model and leatherman is simply out of the competition
