the reason they are creating mine-fields in the age of drones, FABs and cruise missiles is not to prevent Russia from bombing Baltics or Finland.
It's to prevent Baltics/Finnish citizens from evacuating into Russia/Belarus in case of war - because eastward evacuation is the easiest one, as the alternative is to "evacuate" into the sea and drown.

The minefields aren't there to stop the soldiers, they're there to stop the civilians. Same as Ukraine mined its western borders to prevent civilians from escaping westward.
