The difference between the jew-crane conflict and the current one is that Israel won't allow any footie of fights on their soil to get out because they have made a hard select on maintaining an image of total invulnerability, that is, MUH IRON DOME.
Ergo as far as the media is concerned we're probably looking at a proxy conflict in Syria/Turkey/Iraq with a bunch of "what about the Kurds? we have to help the Kurds bros"
We might even see an Afghanistan 2.0, you know because those girls need to go to school and join the workforce and Biden just gave all that military equipment to the Taliban.
It would also be playing softball on Russia since Afghanistan isn't right up in their business.
As for the timing? Whenever its convenient for them it will happen but midterms aren't until next year in April and the Olympics are in February. Probably right around then.
