That's why you buy into Gold or Silver.
It has a global value and isn't going to shrink in global value. With the dollar dropping gold means it's more valuable.
Find a good gold company and put your savings into it. It usually takes 2 weeks if you request the values transferred back into money at your bank. But its worth it.
Gold or Silver value will rise as the dollar plummets. Usually with a good gold supplier they keep the gold in their own safe for you.
So you don't have to hold any of it if you don't want.

Well you can request they send it to you and they will or hold it for you and they will.
But if they send it, you'd have to send it back, wait for that to happen, and then get money back in your bank account.
You can even request a few coins or bars out of it. Not the full sum. Or all of it. Wherever you're going to put it.
But if they hold it for you as gold value rises so will your account and if you want money back out of it, it takes about 2 weeks to transfer to the banks.
