I was only a kid, but I remember almost everyone being white and Hamleys being awesome. I lived a few hours away from London but we'd take the train. My secondary school had over 1000 kids and maybe 3.5 were black, plus two Indians who were brothers. The groundskeeper drowned two white girls in his bathtub though which was not based.

I was there briefly in the late 80s, and then for a few months in the early/mid 90s, it was great. But everywhere was better before 2000. IRA bombs were still a thing, but mostly we just worried about pickpockets, like at certain Tube stations. We saw mostly white people, with some Indians, and a guy from Somalia or Ethiopia I think worked the desk in the building we were staying in. Technically, I think I'm still not supposed to donate blood due to possible mad cow disease, but I didn't even know that for years afterwards, but I haven't donated blood anyway so it doesn't matter.

This is nowhere near far back enough. Things were obviously better than now; I'd say back then it was specific areas that had high amounts of immigrants and others that had little to none. Today they are everywhere. You have to go back to pre 98 and even then you have generations of immigrants by that point (although again, even more limited to certain areas).

I visited a few times in the mid 90’s. Stayed at the Union Jack.
There was a huge gay disco that was very popular. I don’t remember the name. Seemed like gay bars everywhere. We tried to find a strip club with girls but didn’t have much luck. I remember in 1996 as a kid it at least somewhat still resembled the images of it on TV from earlier in the 20th century. It definitely had it's shitty areas even back then, but the one thing I do not remember are shitskins making Sharia patrols everywhere and jeets + garbage piling up with random street violence popping off. It was safe enough for kid me and my mom to travel on the subway and walk through parks extensively and never feel threatened. Their museums were also pretty hi-tech for that time.

It's a bit of a strange one though, since the overall quality of life feels much shitter now. Perhaps for me, personally, because I lived in the leafy suburbs where stabbings were a rarity back then. Now not so much.

So, I'd say parts of inner London have improved but the suburbs are a lot worse now that they're far less white than they once were. From my perspective anyway. One big difference is that London used to be a cultural capital and nightlife capital, extremely famous for it's nightclubs, rave culture. Clubs would stay open to like 7am then you would go to an "after party" chill club to like 11am.
Now London has zero fucking meaningful nightlife, everything only has a license to 11pm. Unironically, London has one of the worst nightlifes of any major city, and when you complain about it, all you get from people is "Duuur who needs nightlife, just start going out after work and head to bed by 11"

I went to England in 1993 when I was 14. There were some ethnic pockets in London (our hotel was in an Indian neighborhood), but most of the city was overwhelmingly white and British and it felt British. You could walk around almost anywhere and feel safe. It also had a lot of charm. The rest of England was also almost completely British and felt that way.

I come from Atlanta and I remember waking around London and suddenly realizing that you can have safe big cities if you don't have niggers. It was an epiphany to my 14 year old self and one of my first redpills.

But in northern England (York) we had to move our car because there were roving gangs of white teen chavs who were breaking into cars and vandalizing them. I thought it was weird that the white British underclass behaved like niggers.
