I was there briefly in the late 80s, and then for a few months in the early/mid 90s, it was great. But everywhere was better before 2000. IRA bombs were still a thing, but mostly we just worried about pickpockets, like at certain Tube stations. We saw mostly white people, with some Indians, and a guy from Somalia or Ethiopia I think worked the desk in the building we were staying in. I visited a few times in the mid 90’s. Stayed at the Union Jack.

I remember in 1996 as a kid it at least somewhat still resembled the images of it on TV from earlier in the 20th century. It definitely had it's shitty areas even back then, but the one thing I do not remember are shitskins making Sharia patrols everywhere and jeets + garbage piling up with random street violence popping off. One big difference is that London used to be a cultural capital and nightlife capital, extremely famous for it's nightclubs, rave culture. Clubs would stay open to like 7am then you would go to an "after party" chill club to like 11am.
Now London has zero fucking meaningful nightlife, everything only has a license to 11pm. I went to England in 1993 when I was 14. There were some ethnic pockets in London (our hotel was in an Indian neighborhood), but most of the city was overwhelmingly white and British and it felt British. You could walk around almost anywhere and feel safe. It also had a lot of charm. The rest of England was also almost completely British and felt that way.

I come from Atlanta and I remember waking around London and suddenly realizing that you can have safe big cities if you don't have niggers. It was an epiphany to my 14 year old self and one of my first redpills.
