Housing market already collapsed. It's just illiquid and takes a while to really set in.

IDK but I think housing is a huge scam that likely props up the economy.

>bank loans out 500k for small house
>bank now gets to print additional money based on the 500k debt saddled to someone
>rinse repeat

I've seen stories off and on about rising foreclosures.

It's ultra complex though, and hell.. .it may also be a self perpetuating thing whereby there's some piece of shit house that's claimed to be worth 300k. Maybe they foreclose on it, but there's a buyer who will pay 300k. And round and round it goes.

If I'm understanding this right, they want lenders to accept cryptocurrency as collateral when issuing loans. Or did I get that wrong? Are they telling lenders to count crypto assets when evaluating a potential borrowers net worth?

There won't be a collapse silly goy.
Life will simply get worse and worse every year and that will be your new normal. The "collapse" will be veeeery slow so you can enjoy every second of it.

That's the problem: the pool of people who both will and can has shrunk to untenable levels. Even the old trope about corporations snatching those houses up doesn't hold. They're not dumb; they won't try and catch a falling knife. Median sale price has declined for 2.5 years. Best case scenario is prices just oscillate sideways for 20 years while everyone catches up. Worst case scenario, this thing pukes up 30% over 2 years.
