>>508805157civilizations undergoes phases, like seasons:
hard times
reinassance
golden age
decadence
Then back to hard time.
long way into renaissance/entering golden age is the part with rainbows.
long way into decadence is the part with fires
this happens regardless of what dominant culture or form of government that civilization has in charge at the time, because it is a mechanism that triggers due to existing finite resources (resources/space/opportunities), but infinite desire of the citizens.
humans are ever-competing inside every civilization. eventually somebody will come to the top and will use their influence to snowball and stay at the top. when the influence grows to be too oppressive, the people will begin rebelling.
capitalism is just a word invented by some people to describe this ever-competing phenomenon, which is normality. they define it as bad and propose that if you give them power, they would be able to administer the world more fairly.
given, this is just one of the many ways they are rebelling,
anyway, it will not works because those who believe that aren't up for the task, and those who don't believe it end up using their position of power to grift, becoming the devil they claim to slay.
but if some factor triggers the reinassance, (for example, a new invention), it could seem to be working for a period.
you either convince the guys at the top that they are being too oppressive and they must relent, or you kill them until they understand.
