you should know, with your flag
with a business suit, only blue or pink bengal stripes, if you don't want a white shirt
these are the only three acceptable business shirts, of course poplin cotton, with a dress collar (unbuttoned, fairly straight)
>OCBDoxford cloth (rougher), button down (to play sports, supposedly), typically with a plain pastel color
basically sport shirts (to wear with a blazer, or something like that)
never, ever wear that with a business suit (unless you want to look like a Mutt clown)
>What tie to not look like american?basically anything that isn't a club/rep tie (again, those are fine with a blazer, but laughable with a business suit)
woven with small geometric patterns is more dressed (often too much: you shouldn't dress better than your boss, if you have one, hence why handkerchiefs can be a trap)
ancient madder is a sure choice (a lot of fuckery with inkjet printed ties, but that's another debate), and grenadine silk (plain but textured) as well (but it has to be a very different color from the rest, else it's boring)
avoid cashmere patterns with business suits: it's too sporty
avoid plain, super shiny ties (like Trump): they're ghastly, always
>I'm not a manlet, I'm six foot tallanyone can look like a manlet, with shit suits (skinny fit, tiny lapels, short jackets, unadjusted pants, etc)
that's the problem: suits are the best solution we came up with to enhance manly characteristics
but it's only when done right
