An entire generation has been raised to think that you should care about earth majority population instead of going to mars. The same people have been raised to also think that colonizing is very, very bad, because of the word. I think we could only go to Mars in the next civilization cycle, if there is any.

That's all well and good, but in a few hundred million years the Earth won't be able to sustain human life without artificial life support due to climate change (the real kind, not the hysterical libtard shit), so unless we want to go the way of the dinosaurs we need to get used to long-term spaceflight and living off-world. If we want the universe to continue living and experiencing, then we MUST colonise the Moon and Mars and shoot for the stars. If you are against this, you are nothing but a misanthrope, a disgrace to your ancestors and a deserter to your descendants. We have to come to face the fact that, one day, humans will have to get used to wearing oxygen masks outside and facing unfavourable conditions daily. Earth will become known as the mythical paradise in which we all hailed - the crib that birthed the most beautiful beings in the entire universe, and it is our duty to ensure that life spreads all across the universe until the day the universe stops breathing.

It'll be like the colonisation of America, but the difficulty and harshness is amplified tenfold. The successful seeding of life on Mars will ultimately produce the master race of humans which will go on to inherit the stars. There will likely be white colonies and asian colonies and there will be conflicts and times of peace. It is imperative that we do not let Jews spoil the pure, virgin Martian sand with their touch. They must be contained to Earth at all costs. Imagine a future where Jews achieve interstellar travel with no way to easily gather and exterminate them. Spoiling our universe with their rotten influence. Grim.

Many things can happen a long the way of even the most sophisticated explorers. What if in only 5000 years humans find a way to separate consciousness from the body? What if humans in 10,000 years live in a digital world of wonders in some kind of supercomputer orbiting Neptune, in safe distance when Sol goes nova?
Sure, at some point, something or someone from Earth will fly to the stars, but it won't be us.

Is life without flesh really life? I do not personally like the idea of the covergence of consciousness with technology. Sure, it would make interstellar travel much easier to achieve, but if we're all just contained to metal boxes without the warmth and grit of humanity, then I don't see the point. We should focus all efforts into spreading Earth's gift as it was provided to us across the galaxy and ensuring our survival until the end of time. You can argue that this "covergence" process has already begun, with computers, smartphones, interconnectivity and other forms of technology becoming a dependent form of aid in day-to-day life, but there is a line to be drawn somewhere and I think humans must be kept as pure as possible, allowing only the environment to morph us naturally over time.

I think China's rapidly developing Moon mission architecture beating out the US' mess of a plan, as well as China's MSR similarly making an embarassment of the US' version, both of these are going to kickstart the Space Race II. Only this time it will be much less friendly and much more real. Not just a prideful race to plant a flag, but now a race to claim important territory on other bodies and expand their reach into space.

It's likely there will be something on Mars, but it's hard to see what. You'd get better mileage from a moon base and asteroid mining than anything you'd want to do at the bottom of a gravity well with shitty atmosphere and lacking in mineral resources.

Now if we figure out a way better than rockets to escape gravity wells, yeah anything is possible. Build condos on it. But until then it's just not a super attractive location.

What possible resources are there to exploit there? You colonize an area to exploit the resources. You don't just colonize an inhospitable area just because it's free. You ever heard of Bir Tawil? The last unclaimed habitable land on Earth. There's no resources to exploit there, so nobody has ever bothered claiming it and setting up a colony. I just don't see any logical reason to colonize a barren rock unless you could make it self sustaining via mining and offworld exports or something.

Sometimes I think about a timeline where Mars had kept its thicker CO2 atmosphere. If it were anywhere in the range of 0.3 - 4 atm, it would be much warmer, could have liquid water on its surface, and humans would only need an oxygen mask to walk outside. The Mars we got will be much more of a challenge, but I think it will ultimately do us good.

we shouldn't.
all kids born on mars will probably be huge lanklets with brittle bones that could never visit earth.
Imagine growing up and being a normal 80kg / 176lbs and suddenly you're supposed to always carry an additional 2x your bodyweight around in a full-body weighted suit thats fcking 160kg / 352lbs.
Bruh I'd be impressed if you could even stand up.

Thats bad, because even if you don't care about the cultural aspekt of them being able to visit earth, if due to that theres very little interaction and interbreeding, over countless generations those two seperate pools would evolve into their own seperate species.

Yeah, underground dwellings are not right. We will live in glass domes. People love to spew the heckin lethal radiation meme without realising that the radiation on the Martian surface is non-consequential and will be adapted to within a few generations. The only risk is solar flares but that is not a deal-breaker at all, just something that has to be accounted for and dealt with. Do tsunamis and earthquakes make Japan a bad place to live? Do constant volcano eruptions make Iceland a bad place to live? No. We adapt and overcome. That's what makes us human.

Not in the way people tend to expect. A new Martian atmosphere would last hundreds of thousands of years at a minimum, probably more. Add a tiny nuclear reactor powering a magnetic shadow shield to deflect solar wind and it'll last as long as Earths.

Very unlikely.
Why? Because niggers. And kikes. And democracy. So kikes.
Politicians preffer to spend money on social welfare because that gives them votes. Sending people to other planets won't. To sum it up - niggers will eat all the money needed to send people to Mars.
And Elon will never be able to do it himself.
The only hope is China and maybe India some day.
US and EU will fail because niggers.
And, like I said - kikes. Kikes are first to enforce immigration and that means more niggers. Thus welfare. Plus US has to spend billions of dollars every year to support Israel.

We are going nowhere.

Youre pretty stupid. It is highly likely that interstellar travel is not possible. Neither with current technology, in thousand or a million years. Just because some of the light emanating from a star can, given a few years time, arrive here doesn't mean a human population can travel there.
Regarding mars: If humanity had the ability terraform mars (lol) then humanity has the ability to make whatever adjustments it needs to earths condition, just coubtless times cheaper.
Thw whole 'space colonisation' meme is just a sorry excuse for boomers/and wishful thinking to stick with their habits since 'we simply have planet B'. The reality of the situation is: Whatever effort it takes and pain it means to go somewhere else, to adapt, to terraform and what not, it will always be many times less to just abstain from degenerate negro behaviour and treat the existing planet, that we already do inhabit and have adapted to kindly instead.
Some scenario that is millions of years in the future is a snowman in this context.

What I was getting at:
If at all its a generational journey. Youd have generations over generations of humans having to sustain aboard a spaceship. God knows what shitty cults they've come up with be the time they arrive.
The flightpath would have to follow a more or less ballistic trajectory. Once en route said ship would be doomed to follow it.
It better be completely devoid of all foreign objects as even a spec of dust will spell havoc when crashing into that at near relativistic speeds. I wonder what radar you want to use to track all objects down to that size that you expect to be near your trajectory from here to a place ten systems over or so. You're also constantly crashing into stray atoms and molecules that fill the vacuum, creatjng intense radiation. But thats relatively easy to shield from. One of the least problems actually, kek.
Slowing down is a funny one too btw. Roughly as hard as the speeding up part.

Even if it could be done, you cannot change Mars's gravity, which will long term fuck your joints up and anyone's skeletal frame who develops there since youth. Our bodies are fine tuned to Earth in every way. So adapting biologically is not so simple, it could take thousands and thousands of years, or a lot of genetic tampering. The perfectly adapted Martian will not be able to return to Earth long term, or perhaps not at all with out a lot of support. They will be a weak and feeble race. Human Interstellar Colonialism will not be what we dreamed of, were we can all go freely from planet to planet, choosing where to settle. No, you will be limited by biology, by planetary/state governance and by technology and distance. But it would still be worth it theoretically if it could be done. I'd just not like to be a space pioneer or first settler. You won't have a good quality of life, you won't live like a space cowboy roaming the Martian deserts. Instead you will live under strict guidelines, probably in a pod like a bugman, doing labour for the rest of your miserable life under a sickening orange sky wishing you could feel rain fall on your skin, or watch a waterfall, or see the blue in the sky once more once the novelty has worn off and you realise you are stuck on a dusty lifeless shithole rock

The reality is much more grim. But it could be done someday perhaps. But it will be very grim

Makes no sense. Mars would be such a high stress enviornment for humans that the only objective for any survivors there would be simple to survive to the next day.

If you look at the animal kingdom, the ones who have thrived and survived are the ones who've experience the least amount of stress/threat ot their dominance. (I.e Sharks, Crocodiles, Rats, Octopi)

Not happening until all of western society gets rid of the brown and dark pests, and the parasites infecting all of its upper class and government for good. Once they're not in control and not being a constant draining problem on the entirety of the civilized world, everything will raise in quality, value and wealth, and shifts can be more properly made to actual engineering and trials for space travel and eventually planetary colonization as we will only have actual minds on the projects backed with the funding that can be afforded. Without changing the entire country and populace in such a way, you will still have to abide by shekel pinching and social red tape of making sure things are done by animals with less care for actual sustained or capable build quality.

We are altruistic. Instead of giving the kid a morphine overdose for his hemophilia we give him a lifetime of meds paid for mostly by others. He has kids, his kids carry the marker and the Mendelson Distribution goes round again.

If we treated Tay-Sachs with a bullet instead of heroic medical intervention it would be found only in textbooks 50 years from now.

If you are playing long odds you have to be harsh.

Absolutely infinitely better things to do than to live in delusional sci fi world.

Say it takes 200 (already a delusional belief) years to get to proxima centauri B, assuming the planet itself is a 1:1 purely habitable planet capable of housing our species.

Go ahead and explain to us how you think each generation of humans born on said ship will operate.

Only one man has the power to do such a thing. That man is Elon Musk. He's the only person that has the combination of Leading Electric Vehicle Technology, Leading Rocket Technology, Leading Solar Technology, and Leading Tunnel Boring Technology. Everything you need for a mars base. If he never does it, it will never happen. Soon peak oil will finally hit, and we will never be able to launch rockets into space again.

Just like the Amish do now.
Itโ€™s a good model. Shame about their anti-tech bias.

The first ships will probably have majority Mormon or Mennonite crews. We will get continuous mission updates, so we can fine-tune everything as missions come on line.

P. Centauri B is a meh target. It would have to be low priority and a secondary or backup objective.

The White population is currently around 14% in reality also I have no idea where this 7% figure came from. The population of Europe alone is 750 million so over 10%, maybe 10% exactly if you remove the 50 million nonwhites living in Europe. Then 230 million Whites in North America, 20 million in Australia, 4 million in NZ, 5 million in South Africa, maybe you can add some of the white passing people in South America for another 200 million. Far from 7%. The RadioGenoa account is a confirmed brown guy grifting, so he might be gloating and hoping about the White population being small.

I think that space exploration should focus on resource extraction. It's actually a very ideal environment to extract natural resources in some ways since there's little concern for loss of life or environmental sustainability. A workforce of automated mining ships could potentially harvest massive amounts of metal resources from asteroids. Moons and planets could serve as stations for continent sized mining operations, or containment sites for radioactive waste. If battery technology becomes advanced enough, you could have off world fission reactors working to refill batteries to be exported back to earth. Just because we can't live out there doesn't mean we can't benefit from it.

If you got selected for a mission your children should be taught, in excruciating detail, how fucked human society has been for the last 5000 years.

The reason the mission departed earth was to take the best of our species and allow it to develop and grow free of the ghosts of the past, and beyond the reach of those who would prevent such a thing from happening. Like you.

You would have to drop Mercury into Venusโ€™ orbit by starting in the L4 point and subtracting from Venusโ€™ orbital velocity. Have to drop Venus into a lower, faster orbit to compensate for the mass moved up with Mercury. Increased separation between Earth and Venus.

Venus slows down as Mercury approaches from โ€˜asternโ€™, then speeds up again as the Venus-Mercury system slips closer to the sun

aside from needing a spacesuit to go outside their lives would probably look much like our lives in cities on earth today. once the colony is built up anyways. we dont know how they would fare under martian gravity though, we have no idea. personally i think it would kind of suck, i like going outside. but some people probably wouldnt mind. as long as those who decide they dont like it are able to come back i dont see the problem.

Same idea, but it's a plasma beam in the orbit of Phobos, powered by a nuclear reactor. Same current carrying capacity as a superconducting loop, much less construction
Paper:
https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.06887
>The optimum solution proposed is completely novel, although inspired by natural situations and fusion plasma techniques.
>The solution with the lowest power, assembly and mass is to create an artificial charged particle ring (similar in form to a "radiation belt"), around the planet possibly formed by ejecting matter from one of the moons of Mars (in fashion similar to that that forms the Io-Jupiter plasma torus), but using electromagnetic and plasma waves to drive a net current in the ring(s) that results in an overall magnetic field.

Can we? Technologically not yet. We are too busy babysitting brown people that want to exterminate us and giving kikes piggyback rides on our civilization.

Should we? No. Mars is a god awful shithole. Also it's pretty low IQ to terraform a planet in your home system because if you fuck up the planet's orbits you very likely just destroyed Earth in the process.

TL;DR: no.
