At the very least he's focused on his job, not sucking israel's dick. He was the first to endorse the "no on our dime" stuff and he said he wouldn't go kiss the wall.

He is a shitty democrat, but he is honest and putting his people first, so he deserves more respect then many of his contemporaries.
