The only reason it's legal is because husbands didn't force the state's hand into committing compartmentalized violance as a lesser alternative. If you look at countries where adultery is ILLEGAL, it's because it was struck as a bargain between the men and the state. If the state did nothing, then men demonstrated that they are likely to KILL the rapist (proper word for a man who fucks another mans wife)

If they were minded to sort this out it would be easy enough. Duelling to be a defence against a murder charge and adultery a reason to challenge your rival. Dead rival (or dead man). Either way it is resolved out of court

For the women bothered by a rival, restore her right to bring adultery charges against the other woman. She then finds herself shamed in court and paying big money in compensation. If the other woman keeps doing it, prison time for contempt of court.

Both ways to completely prevent this problem and avoid the courts coming between man and wife, which is always disastrous.
