So, when IQ tests claim they have a high scorer, it means nothing, unless they have been able to gather the data necessary from people that are that 'high' in the IQ rating, to be able to have a comparison.

If this claim of 276 IQ is correct (it isn't, and will not be verified by any test, I guarantee that), then that would mean they have to have others that are within a threshold that allowed them to either 'elevate' his IQ to a higher rating, or to compare, and equate his IQ to.

The whole concept of IQ is merely nonsensical. It's one of mankinds' many ways of trying to interpret ourselves and enlightenment. The flaw lies in the materialistic nature of IQ measurement. You cannot apply materialistic rules to the divine. In many instances, "smart" people, aren't really that smart - they're often spiritually hindered. I'm a somewhat smart person, and I've been spiritually hindered myself, so I know what I'm talking about.

IQ is good for averages - among races for instance. But on a personal level, it's not really that relevant. What can you use that nonsensical number for anyways? To stroke your ego? "My number is greater than yours". It's about as materialistic as money itself. "I got more money than you, so I'm better" and bla bla.
