A good mattress is one of the first and most important things you should buy, but a bed frame i think is the least important thing about it, i would rather spend the money on a freezer with fridge first.

Sleeping on the floor is much more cozy but you shouldn't keep a mattress on the floor so solution is either a very low frame or to make a tatami room and Japanese bedding. I'm a fan of the latter.

I occasionally sleep on the floor. However, I sweat a LOT so I make sure I pick up the blankets every day and air everything out.

I also wouldn't advise sleeping in the exact same spot every night due to mold issues.

Lived in an apt building in college. I had a mattress on the floor and loved it....until I woke up to the feeling of something big moving over my body and legs. LOL. I remember when I was single took a single panel from a wooden changing divider. It was a nice heavy duty wooden panel. It was left on the side of the road curbed down the street from my neighbor.

Yes, after graduating from college and moving to a big city for my first professional job, my apartment was spartan until I earned enough money to buy furniture. It wasn't a big deal. I'm sure (((they))) would prefer that I used a credit card (recent college grads typically don't get good rates) or otherwise financed a bunch of expensive furniture but waiting six months or so to have a fully furnished apartment.
