On the Scottish side the M77/A77 is quite good as far as Ayr and fucking awful after that. And the A75 is fucking awful the whole way and needs totally replacing. And of course they haven't started building the bridge other than to agree they would like to.
Not unreasonable to count these things as defence spending. Obviously it makes Ireland vastly easier to defend having a bridge there.
Work done so far. Drainage survays and closed footpaths. Good luck getting that bridge any time soon, Ireland.
