Admittedly I wouldn't actually mind the comically-wealthy if they actually did anything of proper value with it. They either squirrel it away for all eternity, but an island that they barely do anything with, rent something ridiculously large out for something unworthy of doing so (like Bezos and his wedding lmao), or put it into influencing politics in such a way that not only doesn't benefit them whatsoever but objectively harms the world (all the politically correct/woke/basically anything progressive from the past decade or so). If some of them actually went out of their way to do something amazing like, I dunno, taking over a backwater country and upgrading every facet of it, or even just fixing up some random town that could use it, I wouldn't mind them. You probably have, quite literally, a measly handful of ultra rich that even PRETEND to do anything good, let alone actually do good.
