Society wide homosexuality would force women to bring something to the table besides a hole in order to attain a man's attention (and money). Like a willingness to give birth to and raise his children. It would also foster an interconnected web of increased male camaraderie, solving the issue of social isolation among modern men.

I believe that when a society has a large enough population and isn't solely focused on survival homosexuality emerges as a means for genetic matchmaking.
