My first job was a bag boy and the christmas bonus was a giant christmas ham, probably 15lb+
People were not happy but boy I was a dumb fucking kid who was stoked.

Looked at multiple versions of this article that have been popping up from 2018 to 2021.

Yes, the "study" was complete shit. It also noted a decrease in morale when "given more money" but that's likely due to adding $30 to a paycheck (before taxes) being insulting. It concludes that "there's no need to try to compete with Google salaries when you can buy some pizzas", which implies Google only pays $30 more than the factory where the experiment was conducted.
