You warned me about the plague of Indians, now I'm surrounded by them.

But, why are they all living in nice neighborhoods and how are they rich?

I can't afford to go to university and most jobs here pay $15/hr. I keep interviewing and getting denied even entry-level jobs despite having a good resume and appearing very professional

If it's like here, they live 20+ to a(n illegal) basement apartment.

Their universities are paper mills that basically hand them degrees you could never afford to earn over here. So they come over here with all their bullshit fake degrees and use Google and ChatGPT to do the job that used to require mental recall of your specific expertise. Also, the government pretty much gives them free loans to buy businesses from Boomers that just want to retire and hide from the world while they wait for death.

General strategy to land a job:
Prepare showing material.
Meet someone that hires on regular social/professional occasion. Make an impression and show the material. Exchange contact information.
Without a label, anyone looks like a general labor. In your highschool years, what is the subject and things you do the most and get awarded/praised. Things that you knows a lot and pays great details into. Things that you searched a lot and made purchase of material and tools for. The calling is there, you just need to pick it up. Label yourself as the "something" guy from the point on. If you can't be that guy, be the support and supply for those guys, they need someone in the knows.
