Everything is becoming AI slop because production costs are so low. Flood the market with cheap shitty product and make a small amount on each, rather than having to maximize income from a few high quality products that take time and effort to produce.
Meanwhile the much smaller number of high quality ones get drowned in the sea of shit and become harder and harder to find, and their income drops until it’s no longer cost effective to produce.
We were already seeing this with content producers using armies of ESL thirdies to mass produce cheap content. AI is just making it worse because it’s even cheaper to use.
