>>508969962Policy notwithstanding I actually love how he talks. Putin and Xi speak in a really inflated historical manner that I find exceptionally archaic. Whether its ranting about the history of siberia, or “threading the needle” this form of speech needs to die. Trumps use of casual speech is necessary for government to improve. The ability to scrutinize his frank and constantly shifting rhetoric is ultimately a positive thing for a (supposedly) democratic nation. As long as the Democrat party insists on “nevertheless she persisted” rhetoric they will remain an enemy of true political progress which lies not in policy but in the manner that leaders engage with their public.
Basically I think flowery language is a velvet curtain pulled over the eyes of the public, used to convince them that our leaders are operating on levels more complex than they actually are, and I find it amusing that when other powers are pulled to Trumps level of casual rhetoric they reveal themselves to be much more callous and sadistic than he is.
