I'm literally a modern day hobo, I just hitchhike and hop freight trains all over the country.
Just stay out of Atlanta, Chicago, any city in California. Other than that if you just stay in the touristy or historic areas you'll be fine.
If you want to see American beauty I recommend Maine/New Hampshire/Vermont for lakes and mountains and shit. Or New Mexico is cool you can go to Roswell and look for Ayyes. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful too. If you just want to have fun the French Quarter in New Orleans, or the strip in Vegas are top tier, Atlantic City is cool too, but you have to stay near the casinos because it's a war zone outside of there.
Oh also avoid Texas and South Carolina idc what anyone says, they fucking suck.
