Anyone still seriously using social media in 2025 is a complete turbo-normie.
>but my friends are all on social media!
your friends also exist in person. There's also something called a "telephone", which you're probably already using for 16 hours a day, anyway.
>but people will forget I exist if I left Facebook/Insta/etc
If that happens, then those people weren't your friends to begin with.
>but girls will think I'm creepy if I don't have Instagram/Facebook/etc
Anyone who thinks being a digital ghost is "creepy" or a "red flag" is a retard themselves. They're just as retarded as boomers who gasp in awe at the idea of someone not owning a television.
>but my employer wants me to use WhatsApp/Messenger/Facebook Groups/x y z other thing
Then you need a new job.
>but how I will hear about happenings?
On social media, all you see are headlines and hot takes. No one is actually seeing some post about a happening in Place and thinking to themselves "let me go research this and verify what I am being told is true". No one does this, don't kid yourself. People pick sides based on emotional stories and argue for 3 weeks until the next happening arises. This is the state of "I get my hekkin news from X!".
If something actually matters, you will hear about it in real life, or it will come knocking at your door, literally or metaphorically.
>but I'll be out of the loop!
Yeah, you'll be out of the loop with the latest culture war babble, Red Team VS Blue Team debate number 56939993 of this year, the latest AI fearmongering, the latest slop pop star number 49010120's new album, or the latest TikTok trend sweeping the zoom zooms. I'm sure you'll be in absolute fucking agony not knowing what a Stanley cup is.
