I’m 37. I was involved in a long-term relationship for almost 10 years. We were young and had the world ahead of us. We were both broke when we met. Once I got my own career started, I supported her and put her through school. She got older. She changed. She got a career started and after I had fulfilled my purpose she left. Said she wanted to split a week after she found out that she had passed her final exams.

Now it’s gone. I tried getting back into it but dating at this age is horrifying. The women are the daughters of Satan. Dating for like a year straight and dealing with the same thing with no variation in outcome hollows you out. It was never this hard or demoralizing when I was younger.
