No contradiction to picking the screaming child over the embryos. The embryos are not conscious currently even if they are alive. If they ever were conscious they had little or no awareness and experienced little. They will not have to suffer if they are burned alive, unlike the born and conscious child. The whole IVF process is arguably unnatural frankenstein science. If they are rescued it's not even clear if they will be salvageable.

This is not so much about "Should women be allowed to abortions"as much as "Should women be judged for doing something other people find abhorrent". I cannot stop a woman from getting an abortion, but, if i want, I can think what she did was bad, and that is what bothers women the most. Women care about the opinions of others way too much. This is why they use shame as a weapon. It is one of the worst fates they can imagine.
