Just got it. I had a TX81z in the same rack spot. MPC One is nice because there's this MIDI CONTROL mode where you can hit every CC by going through pages and using those four knobs in the column there. So you can control the FS1R and other good synths with a robust MIDI implementation (like that EX5R) and it's easy.

My master control keyboard is a QS6.1 which has four sliders I can assign too. Not pictured is the SidStation. I just don't have it hooked up at the moment.

3.0 is nice. Old MPC is good too. I make all kinds of music. MPC is good for everything. I used to use computers but I grew to hate them. Plus through the years I have assembled quite a nice little stash of MIDI junk, only a tiny fraction of my collection is in my pic. I would recommend getting any old gear you can. It's all good.

An MPC has always been in the back of my mind. I got into the hobby in 2012, and often considered buying an MPC 3000. I grew to hate using the computer as well except for final recording/mixdown. 90's digital stuff is peak, I have a V-Synth and two VP9000's, AN1x, Korg Radias, Kawai K5000 keyboard and rack, JP-8080, a bunch more old and new shit. I do it all in the box. Pic related, the box. I have it maxxed out with two FX boards for four channels of effects in real time, you can do pre- or post-fader. Or global. And chain as you like. But then I can take that and record it to a virtual track and so treat any sound. This VS-1680 has a 16 (!) channel vocoder and it's all MIDI real time controlled. Up to two at once actually.

Recommend getting a phase contrast turret at minimum for biological samples.

like i said before groups generally have extra kit, but your mileage may vary.
>What's the cost of a full kit?
really depends on the material and quality. I've seen kits from 1k to 50k.
really depends on your local armoursmiths and what kind of kit you want.
(you'll want to be fitted for gear in person if possible, if you can't then online is fine, just make sure they ask for measurements or your getting indian garbage)
i payed around 5-8k for mine. but i also wear it for Halloween and do medievalfaires and renfaires.
plus i love just walking and training in armour. the park near me is massive and i walk it in armour (really good for cardio and stamina in the ring)

when he comes to my house, he legit thinks my basic af 5.1 (got a bose system from 2009 in a garage sale for $20 and a cheap lg soundbar with two other speakers) sounds better.

the quality of the audio you are listening to (ie, if you can run it thru an EQ) makes a WAY bigger diff than your speakers. when i listen to flac files thru winamp with my custom EQ tuned for each album, he thinks it sounds better than however he listens to music thru his $30k setup because it does lmao.

brosef you don't need a telescope for astronomy. it helps sure, but you can literally see the stars lmao

and even then, (believe it or not, i AM an officially recognized astronomer, with a fully complete messier marathon more than once, several trips to bortle class 1 areas) you will NEVER get pics/observations better than you can get from other sources.

i have been to many star parties with people using six figure set ups and guess those shots are nothing compared to actual observatories. and those pics are nothing compared to satellites. so your point is fucking pointless.

people are allowed to look at the stars and enjoy it. holy fuck you are a sperg.

Calamansi lime is likely the hardest to kill accidentally.
It's pretty easy if you're willing to make the soil yourself, 5-1-1 is likely the easiest way to do.
You just need to be sure to not over water them as they can die pretty easily from root rot.
For potted citrus it isn't worth your time trying to use organic fertilizer, as they feed so heavily and in pots you need to do a total soil replacement every 3-5 years depending on break down of material to make sure to not compact the roots through decay.
I use jacks citrus fertilizer and due to heavy feeding usually go over the listed needs a bit, whenever salts do accumulate you can rinse them out pretty easily generally by just drenching the pots for a few min with a shower nozzle, you're already supplying nutrients in their normal watering so you don't need to worry about leeching them out of the soil when drenching it.
For lights you need high par to grow them inside, a 12/12 schedule will force blooming and 18/6 will encourage vegetative growth.
It's pretty easy to get them to flower and fruit, sometimes hand pollination is needed just to increase fruit set rate but most are self pollinating.
Flowers will grow malformed if you fuck up their environment too much though.
Fruit set depends on tree age and how well watered the plant is, if under or over watered fruit will drop.
For the first two years or so, depending on tree size, you want to avoid letting it set fruit to focus on root and canopy growth.

What do you have in those racks? I would have guessed this was a couple grand set up at most. I assumed the racks are full of those romplers or digital synths and samplers that go for a few hundred used.

You're on /pol/.
People in here are generally more retarded than a dalit Jeet.
It's highly unlikely that, despite the gear, not every single synth faggott here can actually make a decent symphonic evolving evolving complex electronic tune that is similar to classical music. They either make nigger shit (trap, rap, bass) or gay shit (techno, trance) or, at best, some utterly soulless and kitsch ambient, IDM, or psytrance that will be forgotten come the next party season. To be honest, a nigger with less equipment can make something that would stick better than whatever these synth faggots are making.
Outside classical, music is a rather low IQ hobby anyway.

the cut off is like 2010 desu. ps3/xbox 360 era had alot of good titles. they really were dialing into the control schemes. You can tell after the financial crisis of 2008 it basically destroyed the game industry. noone wanted to take any risks anymore and thats when they really started to just milk franchises dry and nothing new really popped up anymore.
