The system he built is an oligarchic cleptocracy with a lot of government-interest companies being constantly propped up with EU funds but they are so mismanaged (because everything is on a nepotism/loyalty base with the government) that now that the EU funds are not coming in, there are already issues within these companies and if we had a change of government, most of them would fail in an actually competitive market. Corruption is insane, kleptocrary is insane.
The biggest opposition party is similar in ideology, not pro-migration. So you don't need Orban to stay around to "own the libs" (which doesn't mean anything because Fidesz at this point has absolutely no values anymore) or to have an anti-immigration figure in the EU.
