Can you imagine having a 50 year old father when you are 10 years old? You will be greatly limited in your physical ability. God forbid anything happen to you or the mother. Can you imagine having to leave a young child alone or a single parent to raise them?

The kid might resent you for being old, for not being able to provide a normal childhood. They are at prom, all the other kids parents walk down the aisle. Meanwhile here we have anon Jr pushing grandpa down the aisle in a wheelchair.

I understand the feeling, it's just the primal instincts we have to reproduce. Maybe now you feel strongly that all those things won't be a problem. But are you prepared for the moment that reality hits you?

If they get married by 30, you will be 70. How can you be sure you will even live that long to see them get married?

Physical issues like age aside, there is definitely a mental aspect as well. Every single child I've seen born from an old couple turns into a social outcast that is terminally online. Are you prepared for the responsibility of that outcome? What if they turn their frustration towards you? What if they wish they were never born? They blame you for the fact that they are a loser. Could you live with that fact?

If it comes to that in the future, are you still going to be happy with your choice today? There's no guarantee it won't. Don't delude yourself. In the end, this is just a selfish desire that stems from your primal urges. Face the facts, if you feel the need to do mental gymnastics to justify having a child, especially with a mother that doesn't want it, you need to take a step back.

I knew a guy at 16 that had a 65 year old father. He didn't even bother to know him, because he could barely walk. He was miserable, and he hated his father for being old.

Keep the baby, op. Niglet or not it is yours. I'm a late child in a family too (mom and dad were 36 and 38 respetively). You will be fine, even more fine since your kid will be young enough to keep care of you when he grows up, if you rise him right of course. You can event talk her to give kid to you and live freely after pregnancy ends. Yeah you will be tired for year or two but then it will be much easier to rise a kid. And rememebr, it kid's only chance to live.
