I just recently found out in my state (like many states), if you get a contract working for the government, you have to sign some pledge promising you will never boycott Israel. What the fuck? How is this constitutional in any way? My simple understanding of the first ammendment rings alarm bells in my head telling me that this law probably violates it. And how did this law get passed without anybody noticing and making a big deal about it? It somehow snuck in less than 10 years ago. You would think being an American and having to sign some pledge of allegiance to a foreign country in the middle east would trigger some sort of gag reflex of revulsion. Why is nobody taking this to the Supreme Court!?
