A friend of mine was in jail for 5 years and a criminal, turned around and is one of the best people I know, another had multiple DUIs and drug issues, dropped that and has a job making well over $300k a year. Another was a near death alcoholic, and stopped his addiction after much help from friends. Is this absolving responsibility? Or is this taking charge and changing course?
