…imaginative, inventive, aesthetic, hardworking, hard-fighting, kindest, most gracious, most loyal, most empathetic people are all at the same time facing the same threat. And it’s very much an existential threat.
Now, despite the fact that these people are all closely kin to each other — I’m talking about the descendants of the aryans, Western Europeans and all their progeny — they have, since the beginning of modern times, been fighting each other more than any other rival. Petty lil squabbles of kings and nobles later gave way the bankers and oligarchs who seized the republics — all parties exploiting these peoples unique aptitude for war. These people are so good at war, it’s almost unfair when they fight others. And though these people have so much in common, these silly squabbles have prevented a meaningful union. But more to the point, they lacked a satisfactory reason to merge as a single entity.
You guys remember when Regan lamented the fact that the world lacked an external threat that would serve to galvanize the whole world into a single unified organ? He wanted space aliens. And he wanted fully global monolith.
But you know how it is in life. You wish for space aliens and you get foreign aliens instead. You wish for an ecumenical monolith of all peoples fused together, and you have to have to settle for something else. Something that may well be preferable to the original vision anyway.
For the first time since the aryans departed the Indian subcontinent, they now have a reason to fuse and function as a single entity. They are in every way facing an existential threat.
These aliens, though lacking in the way of ray guns and fancy space ships, are no less a menace than those villains Regan dreamt up so many years ago. They openly say they are taking over. They gloat about rape, and theft and exploitation of our generosity and empathy. They definitely mean it.
This is the vision.
