Drone warfare fully developed after 2022.
Russia was not prepared for it at all. In a similar way to the japs thinking battleships were the future while not focusing more on carriers until it was too late.
Russia thought artillery was the way to win the war while Ukraine used drones to hold back offensives. Only now russia is catching up but its too late.
The war will drag on for years until Ukraine loses enough men that it cant maintain a fight and then surrenders. Russia will probably never reach Kiev.
