I know he isn't doing as much as /pol/ would like him to do, but you have to understand that Iran isn't a global superpower, but they are confronted by one. That means they have to walk a very tight line. The fact he's managed to remain in power since the 1980s is testament of the fact that he's been a competent leader. If he were an incompetent leader, he'd have been gone long ago.

Say what you will about Muslims, but they don't fear death the way jews do. Maybe jews aren't really so certain that their religion is correct or that they're going to go to a good place when they die, else they wouldn't be so afraid of death as they apparently are.
