Wine and cat food are symptombs of female loneliness. A lego set is, like trains, plains and car figures a hobby that can be pursued alone or with (male) friends.

I technically got Starry Night for my wife, she fucking loves it. It's very well done, probably the best of the art sets. The pieces really bring the work to life.

My personal favorite is the ISS though, with the Giza Pyramid and Himeji Castle tied for second place.

Time, place and moderation fren. Building lego (a white invention) with my three white kids on a rainy afternoon is top tier family time. If they get bored of the set their imaginations can run wild when they tear them down.

>>509140526
Except it can be passed down to kids , shared with family or even resold at higher valuation than some stocks. It’s an excellent family product. Train sets are peak autist, but I don’t judge.

>>509141672
You can tear them down and rebuild new stuff. My son got tired of Ninjago and made some crazy post-apocalyptic samurai world with its own characters etc.

I'm a fan of the Botanicals. Although pay attention to how the flowers are arranged. I got the Orchid set and I'm annoyed because it is set up to only be viewed from front on. Also, they like to use loose brinks for dirt and that annoys me for some reason.

Saturn V is also a great choice if you can find it.

Never understood the point of model Lego, even growing up the in 90s. It seemed pointless since those boxes were designed to build only one specific item.
And what would you do once it's done? Parents wouldn't allow that to remain build and gather dust forever.

Still, you do know with a hobby like yours, you'll always be able to work something out. :D Maybe hang the aircraft models from the ceiling. As for me, I've got family and friends that are into model railroading, the diaromas and building are amazing but we're always running out of space. All hobbies tend to be like that, on space or on the wallet. Nice collection though, thanks for the photos. Also saw the ships you posted earlier, are those pre-made or built? Of course that's nothing compared to if they accurately modelled, for example the Schonbrunn Palace circa the 18th century when it was still owned by the Hapsburgs.

Lets see how quickly I can make /pol/ cope and seethe.
>Ludwig built Neuschwanstein primarily as a romantic, artistic retreat and tribute to the operas of Richard Wagner, whom he idolized (and possibly had romantic feelings for).
>The castle was never meant to be a military fortress or even a royal residence in the conventional sense. Instead, it was a fantasy realm inspired by medieval legends, German nationalism, and Wagnerian mythology.
>It was a deeply personal escape from the political constraints and public scrutiny he faced. It was a manifestation of Ludwig’s idealized world, aesthetic, theatrical, and detached from reality.

>Historians generally agree that Ludwig II was likely homosexual or had strong homosexual tendencies. He never married, broke off an engagement to his cousin (Princess Sophie), and had intense emotional relationships with several men, including Richard Hornig, his chief equerry, and other close male companions. His personal diaries and letters, some of which were censored or destroyed, suggest internal conflict over his desires due to the social and religious pressures of 19th-century Bavaria.

Adults playing with children playing with LEGO is fine. In fact it's great! Adults making 18+ LEGO for adults is a symptom of the failure to launch syndrome that plagues millennials and gen-zers. We were all sold a lie that we could reach for the stars as long as we dotted all our Is and crossed all our Ts. But this was a lie. Most of us will not make it.

... and so we hide in the depths of memories of our childhood ... living in nostalgia ... like we're not even really alive anymore

If you have kids, they're going to be miserable burnt-out husk losers when they grow up and probably be into some weird shit since dad never loved them and was just obsessed with power and his own anxieties to the point where he couldn't even do something as innocent as play with legos without being filled with rage.

Did you know that you can build a legacy for your kids while also having fun? Did you know that raising your kids to have fun is actually the healthy thing for them and that it will help them socialize and gain more influence as adults?
