AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) must be registered as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), it would have significant legal and political implications. Here's how:
>Restricted access to political campaigns and PAC funding (foreign agents can't donate to candidates or coordinate with campaigns).
>File regular reports on their activities, funding, expenditures, and communications.
>Tighter scrutiny of its finances, donors, and spending.

It's kind of crazy how they haven't been. Watching the shift in attitude from the political class over the past 70 years is interesting. It was only around the mid 1970s that being pro-Israel started to be the default, and only after the cold war that prioritizing Israel ahead of America itself started to become the norm. The political, military and intelligence elite absolutely did see Israel as a dangerous foreign actor before that, and their memoirs etc are full of prophetic warnings about what would happen if the US didn't resist their subversive influence.

This again? AIPAC escaped this registration, it is the one international lobby in America that does not need to register as a lobby.

Why?

It is privately funded and registered by Americans. This isn't a saudi prince who came in and decided to open an institute to further his country's influence. Americans themselves cucked and founded a lobby intended to advance the interest of a foreign nation, either due to religious influence or personal ties.

This was part of the Tucker x Cruz debate.

>this system is flawed

Yes, it is. The FARA was purposefully designed to spare AIPAC, which originated before. There was active political maneuvering to avoid AIPAC having to sign in as a foreign agent.

Well, there you go. You found Pandora's box.

This was historically the argument for signing in AIPAC under the FARA. But that would be actively discriminating against an entire race and religion, which is an overreach of FARA. But if this had been tried, AIPAC would have just changed names and signed under evangelicals or gentiles because they hold so much political sway that this legal case would have never gone forward, especially in the post-WW2 era. I mean, how backwards would it be for a country to discriminate against anyone with any ties to the jews? That is a policy that would only pass in Nazi Germany, the rhetoric is awful and the politicians and population would not back it then and likely will only back in in a decade or so, once most boomers pass.

There is just no legal solution to AIPAC. If you want to avoid ties with Israel, you need to avoid ties with jews and evangelicals altogether, to a second or even third degree (since jews often marry into positions of power and marry people of power).

But AIPAC's funding and activities go beyond domestic support, they reflect Israel state directed influence
