Oh and before this thread dies. IIRC the AI also said the King Tiger and I think some of the late war Jagd model tank destroyers were able to shrug off frontal shots from our Leopards too, but I think the Abrams get them at any range. Also Panther had a slim chance against the Leopard too if it got lucky on an angle at a distance.

In a perfect world maybe, many factors to consider. The main factor, a Leopard or Abrams can almost guarantee a first round hit at maxium range with modern fire control systems.

I read somewhere tigers were super overengineered for the time which was why only 260 odd were ever made which i found shocking. Not sure how many panthers but obviously fa. I suppose they had to go for quality with limited resources while the ussr was churning out dozens of t34s every day

Nah, by 44-45 they were outdated and being replaced with 128mm PAKs in Jagdtigers and Waffentraegers.
That will definitely sardinecan a Leo1, probably even a Leo2 or an Abrams from most angles, I dont play WoT to be sure.
