I actually know a guy from high school who I'm pretty sure his entire unqualified career in Los Angeles, being able to afford a stay-home wife and two kids, is because he's probably an official workplace drug dealer, whereby companies actually create bullshit positions for him to be hired to fill, just so they can actually have their very own in-house drug dealer
This, despite the fact that he's completely otherwise qualified for pretty much any of the computer technical positions he's employed under, having only a bachelor's degree in theater under his belt. But he sure does love his drugs, and that's who he surrounds himself with
And I bet this whole "crypto-official, in-house drug dealer" is very widespread in the work world, and one reason we see so many worthless phonies in the places we work, particularly in the private sector
