Maybe it's a good thing, poverty is a migration deterrent. Now that bigger euro countries are slowing down (though far from abolishing) the migrant inflows, they may show up either way though. Hopefully after getting their citizenships they'll use the country as a bus station to somewhere else, like a lot of natives also do.
