I hope this fails. I want these "games" (multiplayer cancer) to be killed. I've watched video games on average be subject to decline and ruin for decades because the very normalfags that sign this petition infested and subverted games to turn them all into multiplayer faggotry. You get what you fucking deserve.

I don't know why but Stop Killing Games doesn't sounds as gamer-friendly as its pretends to be and instead it sounds like another communist movement that demand more government authoritarianism. Besides the fact that this "consumer movement" is shilled so hard from game sites and youtubers is suspicious. Especially when said gaming sites and youtubers also shill for greedy game companies' practises and defend ESG-pandering to video games.

Also the fact that EU also shills for Stop Killing Games is way too suspicious. Same fucking EU that treated Gamergate as a misogynist, racist, terrorist movement. Same fucking EU that use European citizens' tax money to fund ESG-pandering video games. Same fucking EU that bans and censors "problematic" video games.

Also from all serious issues that video games industry has, why should I care more about dead online games? And why should I care about dead online games in the first place? It's like demanding from a restaurant to not shut down just because you want to keep eating there instead of just going to another restaurant.

> I want these "games" (multiplayer cancer) to be killed.
Most of them die soon or later. Even big budget ones by Sony that only last for two weeks. Gatcha games also have same fate: if they're not big hit, they shut down in just few months even if they use a popular brand. There's a reason Nintendo stopped caring for mobile phone games the moment they released Switch and it printed money. Also the timing was perfect since few years later the mobile phone games bubble finally ended.

They sell us a game, they make us believe we're owning a game, they do everything possible to make you believe this, but in reality it's actually a dated concert ticket. Sell me a concert ticket if that's what you want to do and the fact you can tell they understand this because they fight tooth and nail trying to stop regulations that would force them to write this up front.

Yes, steam becoming a monopoly is a problem, however, I used it on my example because, lets be fair, few people use alternatives unless Humble Bundle does something interesting
problem is, corpos invented a worse type of drm cancer and they will try their best to shove down everyone's throat.
Piracy is not on its best moment, so I'd rather exercise consumer rights while I still might have any than have to rely on the mercy of corpos when piracy is dead.

Not sure what denuvo has to do with this, it isn't related to online games going offline, it's drm protection against piracy of offline singleplayer games

Something that had its way paved by the slippery slope of steam setting the precedent of making mass adoption and end-level customer popularity of DRM successful.

Games were an escape from all this bullshit...Government control, woke bullshit, and political agendas should not be in any game at all...Newer games seen to be lacking in a lot of things, especially being fun to play. It's all about the newest Unreal 5 graphics and not much substance...It's all just for profit now like video cards...

Its related to ownership, anon. At the core of this is the intention to keep owning and using what you paid for.
Not to mention that if servers go down you lose the game, be that online or offline.

There is no intrinsic misunderstanding of how a restaurant operates and what you get when you buy a meal. For example, if I buy a meal at a restaurant, someone doesn't come 10 minutes after I get my plate and take away my plate before I'm done eating. Game Developers absolutely want you to believe that you will have access to that game and anything you bought inside it for as long as you want. The entire practice operates on fraud and withholding information from users.

Denuvo has a yearly licensing fee, if a company goes under it's not going to keep paying a license, and if the company goes under it's not going to affect your ownership of an offline game either. Denuvo is used for offline games. again not sure what it has to do with anything

Even re-releases of old, niche Japanese games aren't safe from this shit even in fucking Japan. And yet Japanese companies have the nerve to complain about piracy. That's why I rarely play modern games. And of course I don't touch any modern "remakes", "remasters" etc (with few rare exceptions).

The only reflecting most of you do is in a mirror.

You should never be grateful for what has been given to you. That logic is a slippery slope that leads to trash ideals like socialism. You should always push for more and demand things.
