France already supplied SPGs, AA missiles, cruise missiles, guided bombs, mortars, small arms etc
We also have extensive combat experience in asymmetrical warfare from Mali, Chad, Niger, Afghanistan...
The real issue is that our production capacity is limited due to decades of under investment. All euro countries since 2022 are undergoing large rearmament plans and are buying most of what is being produced, leaving very little for the international market.

Also I think it's also important to point out a difference in what is needed. Euro and US AA systems like Patriot are primarily designed to stop ballistic and cruise missiles while systems like Iron Dome is more aimed towards smaller and lower velocity targets like rockets. Both systems can do both, but interception rates may suffer. You can see this clearly in the case of Ukraine where cruise and ballistic missile interception rates have plummeted after the US stopped supplying Patriot. Inversely, Israel is partially reliant on foreign help to stop large missile strikes like the ones coming from Iran.
Romania is primarily threatened by Russia, which is making extensive use of small, low velocity drones in its strike packages. Acquiring Iron Dome also makes sense from a capacity perspective.
