I'm a little concerned because I'm noticing a lot of Gen X acting like Boomers themselves. I had hope that once the boomers died off that the world might have a chance of healing.

I would say the vast majority of world leaders and the most powerful businessmen are boomers, like no exaggerating up to 90%. That's a level of tyranny that borders past the extreme and goes completely beyond the rational.

What was the internet like around the year 2000, when the oldest Millenials were graduating high school? It was just breaking through to the mainstream, which is why we see that stark divide between Gen X and Millenials but not Gen X and Boomers.

Smartphones had a huge impact as well, but they weren’t ubiquitous until older Gen Z or maybe younger Millennials were coming of age. And I don’t think the impact was the same type as simply having internet access.

The only meaningful distinction between the post-war generations is between pre-internet and post-internet. Pre-internet generations were raised by the television. They were programmed by it, the narratives that were programmed are still in there. The post-internet generations were programmed mainly by decentralized internet spaces. That’s why among boomers they are all totally aligned on uniparty politics like antisemitism and anti-racism and liberal platitudes while the internet raised young people inhabit a variety of extremes.
