Because at 30 there isn't any delusion about potential and dreams. You're not a kid anymore, your career path is likely set and now for dating and relationships it's not romantic, it's pragmatic where as a teen it was a woman liking you, now a woman talks about how you're going to build a life together, but she only dates men who have their career, a place to live, a car, and essentially a life they built alone. TLDR; You path is restricted and most people are "locked in" at this age. Your health declines and the women only like you for the lifestyle you provide, even though it's your lifes work and they just show up, they still feel like they settled by being with you. This is the rest of your life.
