Ships are really an underrated element of the possible great reset. Here is an environment that keeps people alive, but practically speaking it contains them in very predictable patterns. If not regularly fed and fueled, the whole ship will die. That means even if you could successfully mutiny (political change) you would only bring disaster on your ship. Then there's the difficulty element. Ships offer a theoretically bearable lifestyle for people, but the ability to start a productive economy on board is almost nil. You're totally reliant on the chain of command to dole out resources. I could see zillions of people living on ship in the future, it makes sense as an arcology because water does some of the work supporting weight.
