The holocaust was fake and gay, but the sufferings of the Germans at the end of the war were horrific. Two million German women raped by Soviet troops, probably a million Germans starved to death, hundreds of thousands of German men died in the "Eisenhower camps", etc.

I asked a family member who served in the Waffen SS what happened at Arnhem with Operation Market Garden. He said it was the strangest thing because they had barely any artillery left and not a single functional tank, and they kept wondering why the Allies wouldn't just cross the river. Later on they heard the II SS Panzer Corps had managed to repel the Allied advance, and all they could do was laugh at such absurdity
Kind of makes me wonder if the Allies stalled on purpose so the Red Army would be in Berlin first. It's certainly true that the war wouldn't have been half as traumatic for the Dutch had we been 'liberated' in 1944
