nords just finally realised that random norse gods like odin, thor and freya don't exist, and or if they do then they are just created beings by an even higher power or universal process so there is no point in worshiping them anymore.

If god is real neither interpretation of him found in Jewish religion or European religion is correct. It's just we find the jewish god to be far more abhorrent.
