I think Japan is the only country I've been to post COVID where I haven't felt like I was getting completely fucked by prices at restaurants. Picked a random wing place in Osaka and you can get 5 wings+fries for under 1000 yen, which is like $7. Even if we go by historical exchange rates it would still only be around $10.

Plus you actually don't need to tip (even moreso than Europe which gets increasingly poisoned by American tipping culture each year). Plus it's only like $3.50 for a beer or a highball.
